A fiesta of flavour

Occupying prime real-estate in Birmingham’s eccentric Digbeth district, tapas pop-up, Rico Libre, already had a pre-pandemic following. As such, the main challenge when developing its refreshed brand identity was reconnecting to the restaurant’s cultural roots and honing in on authenticity.

We began by refining the colours and typography, embracing a Mediterranean warmth, before lightening the tone of voice across all web and social content, and capturing mouth-watering images to ensure the signature small plates made a big impact.

From a marketing perspective, we also enhanced the guest experience, establishing a new loyalty scheme and various themed events — the weekly Paella Night remains a local fave!
